The offi­cial LotRO site updated today with a fea­tured arti­cle enti­tled “Hero’s Guide to Hollin Gate”. The arti­cle explains the his­tory of the gate, how the area and the areas around it are real­ized in game and what your char­ac­ters will actu­ally be doing there.

The arti­cle is rel­a­tively spoiler-ish, so if you want to go in totally fresh it’s prob­a­bly best to avoid it entirely. For every­one, else it con­tains a good deal of story infor­ma­tion and some other inter­est­ing points such as pub­lic instances in the area, the ene­mies you’ll encounter, help­ful NPCs you’ll run into, the game’s first use of the new dra­matic cam­era (which removes the cam­era from your con­trol to take more cin­e­matic angles) and your first encounter with Leg­endary Weapons.

Def­i­nitely worth check­ing out, I’d say.
