OK, so a beetle isn’t the most exciting thing in the world, but I’m avoiding looking at the super cool stuff. Sorry!
Now that the NDA has been lifted, LotROLife has been posting quite a few screenshots provided by a player going by the name of Hellfanger. The screens are from all sorts of areas in the beta for Mines of Moria, including Lothlorien. There’s even a new gallery of equipment sets.
Head on over to the site to see more if you’re interested. The site is updated regularly, so be sure to check back when you have a chance.
Now that the NDA has lifted, Massively has a new article up about Volume 2, Book 1. This new epic quest starts off Mines of Moria. Massively explores each chapter, obviously offering spoilers galore. In fact, the article can act as a walk through, in case you’re looking for one later on.
As I mentioned previously, I am not personally interested in reading such things. I want the game to be new and fun to me. So if you’d like to read it, be sure to check out their site.
I’m sure Massively will have plenty more about the beta up, so if you want to be up to the second with their news be sure to check out their LotROcategory.
Massively is reporting that the Mines of Moria NDA lifts tomorrow. That means all sorts of sites and people will be unleashing tons of information about the title.
I plan on reporting on anything big here, but honestly I’d like to go into the game semi-fresh. If I think something is a bit too revealing, I’m probably going to avoid reading it in its entirety. Expect some information on classes, upgrades to systems and so forth. Just don’t expect me to ruin books, storyline and other major points of interest.
I’d love to be able to give something beyond second and third hand information, but unfortunately I was not accepted to the beta. If anyone has information they’d like to contribute on what’s changed, thoughts on the classes or screenshots please feel free to send them to me. I’ve updated the Contact MMeOw page with my actual e-mail address just in case you’d like to use that or send attachments.
Turbine just opened a new section on their forums called Community Contests. The prize for the first contest will be a Mines of Moria beta key.
All you need to do is leave a post on the current thread giving a caption to the photo they’ve put up (it’s the same as the one I’ve added above(. You’re allowed three captions in a single post for this contest.
Tip Time: Helpful UI Adjustments: Lately this blog has concentrated heavily on news about Mines of Moria. As exciting as that is, I really feel more atten...
