Here’s a shortcut combo I learned after accidentally selling my Bree-horse. You can lock items in your inventory when not at a vendor. Use ALT + Left Click to select an item in your inventory (the item will have a yellow “glow” and will show on your screen just as a targeted mob/item does). Then use CTRL + t to toggle the lock on or off for the selected item.

I so wish I had known about NPC selection using F10 before! I remember my L30 Rune keeper class quest where you have to heal a bunch on NPCs was so frustrating as I was using an in-built laptop mousepad and had no shortcuts to select the low-morale NPCs!!
