Turbine sent out a set of shots featuring the exterior Dol Guldur today. Mirkwood sure can be a creepy place.

Dol Guldur is an important place in The Lord of the Rings (it’s a stronghold of Sauron’s after all) and was briefly mentioned in The Hobbit. For more information, be sure to check out the Wikipedia entry.
Oh wow! Great find Tony. The shots are stunning, and the forest and fortress look brilliant, and just how I envisaged the place to be. I love how they have managed to make the forest shots so very different from all the woods we have seen before… and they certainly show massive contrast to the woods of Lothlorien. Great stuff. Am very excited
I love the shots of the tower with the beasts flying around it. Should be very sweet in motion.
