Changing kins is hard to do

On Windfola our kin for the past 2 years has been Defenders of Amon Sul. As a group we have decided to merge with the larger Lotus Family and become members of their kin. Why did we decide this?

Defenders has grown and shrank over the years but maintained a steady core of players. All of us have long leveled out at 60, as have most of our alts. But while stable, we are too small to regularly run instances or raids without inviting players from other kins. This is simply because not everyone has the same play schedule.

Our kin is focused on enjoyment, fellowshipping and camaraderie. We “shopped around” and found several other kins on Windfola to our liking. But Lotus Family stood out for being both most like us in tenor and best supporting our goals of running end-game content.

Hobbit and Redhead will miss our kinhouse in the Shire (well, especially Hobbit) – dead center, massive yard, facing the vendors near the gates, with a party pavilion in front and a windmill on top. But we will not miss our kinmates: Defenders of Amon Sul agreed to merge as a group and so we will keep playing with our friends and favorite players. And now we will have a newer, larger pool of friends and players to fellow with.

Long live Defenders of Amon Sul! Long live Lotus Family!
