I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who are chomping at the bit to get started on Book 15 and head into Moria. If you’re one of those people, you’d probably like to know where you should park yourself before the servers come back online.
You have two main options here, in my opinion:
1.) You can just hang out in Rivendell as Elrond gives the Book 15 starting quest. As usual, he’s in the Last Homely House.
2.) You can head to Echad Candelleth.
I’m going with the second one for one real reason: Echad Candelleth finally is receiving a stable. For those unaware, this Elven outpost was in the southern reaches of the Trollshaws and was simply a pain to reach.
Once you have this, you can ride a horse to Rivendell and go see Elrond. A few extra minutes and you’ve killed two birds with one stone.
What if .….
The new route from Echad to Rivendell requires some silly level of rep to use. You might be walking back up the High Moor yet
My own copy of Mom is still in the post and in any case I work late tomorrow night. Not to matter I am in no hurry to rush things.

Nope, it’s a normal travel point. Just keep in mind that getting to Rivendell requires Level 40 and getting to Thorenhad requires Level 25.
And that you’ll need to be caught up on your books to continue.
